Civil Design Group (ABN 41 668 219 645) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
When you request a quote we collect your name, company, the role you describe yourself as, phone number, email address, project address, the services you need, your project stage, and any notes or documents you upload. When you request a free site assessment we collect the property address, your relationship to it, what you would like to do with it, your selling timeframe, whether you hold a survey or plans, your timeframe, any notes, and your name, phone number and email address. In both cases you may choose to upload documents such as surveys, plans or photos. We also collect limited technical information about your visit, such as pages viewed and approximate location, through website analytics.
We collect information directly from you when you submit an enquiry form, request a quote, request a free site assessment, email us or call us. We also collect limited technical data automatically through our website analytics provider.
We use personal information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and assessments, deliver our engineering services, keep records, and contact you about services related to your enquiry. We do not sell your personal information or add you to unrelated mailing lists. You can opt out of further contact at any time by replying to any email from us or contacting us using the details below.
To deliver a project we may share relevant information with other consultants engaged on it — such as surveyors, town planners, geotechnical engineers and architects — and with councils, authorities and contractors where required for approvals or construction. We also use the service providers listed below. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also provides our website analytics. Form submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend. The free assessment page embeds Google Maps, which may collect data under Google's own privacy policy. These providers may store data outside Australia.
Enquiries and project records are held in our business email and project files, and are accessible only to Civil Design Group staff who need them to do their work. We keep records for as long as we need them for the purpose they were collected and to meet our legal, insurance and professional obligations, after which we destroy or de-identify them. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing enquiries@civildesigngroup.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us at enquiries@civildesigngroup.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
